Verifone MX915 Pinpads - "bad" Error Code

 

Dear TCSA Members,

Do you have a Verifone device? Have you recently received a “bad” or similar error code on your MX915 pinpads?

After discussing with a technician, Northwest Pump & Equipment suspects this is due to the cleaning process sites are implementing, because of COVID-19.

Sites could be using liquid disinfectant or sanitizer directly on the pinpads, and possibly shaking the pinpad. Triggering a tamper alert.
